I am pretty aware that you already are known with the word “ paper project ”, since you yourselves have created not only one, either single or group projects during these studying years. Today I’m gonna introduce you to a little bit different kind of project, and it implies problem-solving skills, critical thinking, collaboration, communication.

So your project will be like this:
Title: “ Read in English to the beginners”
Students level: the 9th form pupils (intermediate, upper intermediate)
Project idea: Students will chose an abridged tale, a story, a fable such like : “The Little House”, “The Selfish Giant” , "The Frog Princess”, ”The Lion and the Mouse” to read it to the 4th form pupils.
Title: “ Read in English to the beginners”
Students level: the 9th form pupils (intermediate, upper intermediate)
Project idea: Students will chose an abridged tale, a story, a fable such like : “The Little House”, “The Selfish Giant” , "The Frog Princess”, ”The Lion and the Mouse” to read it to the 4th form pupils.
Process: The 9th form pupils will be split into four groups as well as the 4th form pupils, and during of a month period they will read the chosen tale to younger pupils.
During the first week the 9th form pupils will introduce the content of the story, will have to work with the unknown words, their pronunciation and spelling to the 4th form pupils.
During the second week the 4th form will practice the correct reading of the stories (and their translation).
During the third week the 9th form pupils are to make them, the 4th form pupils, to draw pictures on the content of the story with some description on the bottom of the papers.( as many pictures to comprise the whole story), if they are good enough you can teach them to role-play it.
On the fourth week you are to record the pupils using one on-line platform (Utellstory, Narrator, Voicethread) or shooting them using a videocamera, or just take pictures and create a movie-presentation using Animoto or Stupeflix platforms.
During the second week the 4th form will practice the correct reading of the stories (and their translation).
